Petronas kule bliznakinje, Petronas Twin Towers

Jedno od obeležja Kuala Lumpura, glavnog grada Malezije, su Petronas kule bliznakinje. Njihova gradnja završena je 1998g posle sedam godina izgradnje i do 2004g bile su najviše zgrade na svetu.
One of Malaysia capital Kuala Lumpur marks is Petronas Twin Towers. Towers were completed in 1998 after seven- year build and till 2004 they were the tallest buildings in the world.

Visoke su 451,9 m (do vrha antene) i imaju 88 spratova. Podignute su na 120 m dubokim temeljlima i to su do sada najdublji temelji ikad napravljeni za jednu građevinu. Ove zadivljujuće mega strukture projektovao je arhitekta argentinsko - američkog porekla Cesar Pelli. Konstrukcija bliznakinja je napravljena od ojačanog betona. Fasada je od čelika i stakla. a dizajnirana je tako da podseća na motive koji se mogu naći u Islamskoj umetnosti što je u skladu sa muslimanskom religijom Malezije.
They are 451,9m tall (including spire) and have 88 floors. Buildings are built on 120 m deep foundations and those are world's deepest foundations ever. These breathtaking mega- structures were designed by Argentine-American architect Cesar Pelli. The construction of Twins is made of reinforced concrete. The facade is made of steel and glass and resembles motifs found in Islamic art which is a reflection of Moslem religion of Malaysia.


Na 41-om i 42-om spratu nalazi se dvospratni most između kula i to je najviši dvospratni most na svetu. Dug 58 metara i težak 750 tona morao je biti ugrađen posebnom metodom između kula da ne bi pukao tokom jakih vetrova. Turistima je dozvoljeno da se popnu samo na četrdeset prvi sprat i razgledaju grad sa visine od 178 metara. Budući da je poseta ograničena na određen broj besplatnih ulaznica (1700 dnevno) potrebno je rano ujutru oko 8 sati već biti u redu.
At 41st and 42nd floor there is the highest 2-story bridge in the world. Because it is 58m long and weigh 750 tons it had to be slid between two towers so that it doesn't break during high winds. Tourists are allowed only to the 41st floor to observe town from 178 m height. Since the free of charge visits are limited (to 1700 a day) it is necessary to be in a queue around 8 o` clock in the morning.


Posebnu lepotu poput priviđenja Petronas kule dobijaju noću. Tada ne izgledaju kao da su osvetljene već kao da su napravljene od svetlosti.
Particular beauty, similar to supernatural vision Petronas Towers gain in the night. At that time they don't look like they are illuminated but made of light.



Oko kula napravljen je KLCC park sa stazama za šetnju, džogiranje i fontanom na kojoj se igraju raznobojni snopovi svetlosti. U sredini parka miruje malo jezero.
Around towers there is a KLCC park with jogging and walking paths, and a fountain where multicolor light beams are playing with each other.In the middle of the park a small lake is standing still.


U prizemlju kula nalazi se Suria KLCC centar za kupovinu sa najluksuznijim radnjama i dom Malezijskog filharmonijskog orkestra. U park oko Petronas kula treba otići i danju i noću, sesti na klupu i posmatrati… u krug u krug.
At the ground floor there are luxury Suria KLCC shopping center and home of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. One should go to the park around Petronas Twin Towers, sit on a bench and observe… around and around.

The PetronasTwin Towers is a marvel of automation, technology and intelligence. The Towers use intelligent building system for safety, reliability of control systems and maintenance. That`s why they are described as " Intelligent" buildings.
Security sistem is another computerised marvel. From the moment of entry users are invisibly registered by air gates, CCTV and audio alarm surveillance system.

Da bi se korisnici i posetioci kula mogli brzo i lako prevesti kroz 88 spratova postoji čitav sistem liftova koji skoro da podseća na šemu gradskog metroa. Postoje glavni dvospratni liftovi čiji donji deo staje na neparnim a gornji na parnim spratovima. Pored njih postoje razni ¨šatl¨ i drugi liftovi koji transportuju korisnike na određene nivoe na kojima se mora presesti u neki drugi lift ukoliko se želi ići dalje. Ukupno u obe kule ima 78 liftova koji neprestano idu. Sistem liftova je projektovan tako da se u slučaju požara ili zastoja ljudi mogu lako i brzo evakuisati.
In order to transport easily and quickly all visitors through 88 floors there is a whole net of lifts which ressembles city underground train scheme. There are main double - decker lifts with the lower deck of the lift taking passengers to odd numbered floors and upper deck to even numbered floors. Apart from those main lifts there are various "shuttle lifts" and other lifts which transport users to certain levels where change is necessary if one wants to go further. Total of 78 lifts exists in two towers and they are running constantly. Lift system is created in such way that in case of fire or stuck people can be evacuated easily.

Najbrojniji ¨stanar¨ kula je Petronas, malezijska kompanija koja posluje sa gasom i naftom. Osnovana je 1974 i potpuno je u vlasništvu malezijske vlade. Spada među 100 najvećih firmi u svetu a samo u 2009 godini imala je promet oko 75 milijardi dolara (podatak uzet iz Wikipedije). U kuli broj jedan se nalazi sedište firme kao i svih firmi koje su povezane sa Petronas kompanijom. U kuli broj dva su kancelarije svih najvećih svetskih firmi.
The most numerous " tenant" of the towers is PETRONAS, Malaysian Oil and Gas company. It was founded in 1974 and it is wholly owned by malaysian govrnment. The company is among 100 greatest companies in the world and in 2009 it had revenue of about 75 billion US dollars (according to Wikipedia). Headquarters and company`s subsidiaries are based in tower one. In tower two there are offices of well known companies from all over the World.
